Changing people’s lives for the better will always be a face-to-face endeavor. Social media, Zoom, and even this website will never replace the power of person-to-person interactions and relationships. For all of us, that should be very reassuring and encouraging! While I take solace in Margaret Mead’s words, I also must accept and even embrace the fact that our world is changing at an ever-increasing rate, and connecting to people is changing moment by moment.

Today, as we pause to reflect and plan our next steps, let’s remember the significance of our actions. Each of us has the power to transform lives through our choices and behaviors. Whether it’s a small act of kindness or a major initiative, our actions matter. Let’s strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those around us!

As we approach the United Way fundraising season, let’s understand the profound impact our contributions can make. Fundraising is not just a means to an end; it’s a catalyst for change. The true end goal is not meeting a fundraising target, but the transformative effects those funds can have on lives. From providing food and shelter to counseling and support, our donations can make a world of difference.

When someone calls on you to give to our United Way Campaign, please help us help others by providing a generous gift! Your gift will help us change our world, one person at a time!
