From the President

Changing people’s lives for the better will always be a face-to-face endeavor. Social media, Zoom, and even this website will never replace the power of person-to-person interactions and relationships. For all of us, that should be very reassuring and encouraging! While I take solace in Margaret Mead’s words, I also must accept and even embrace the fact that our world is changing at an ever-increasing rate, and connecting to people is changing moment by moment.

Today, as we pause to reflect and plan our next steps, letโ€™s remember the significance of our actions. Each of us has the power to transform lives through our choices and behaviors. Whether it’s a small act of kindness or a major initiative, our actions matter. Let’s strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those around us!

As we approach the United Way fundraising season, let’s understand the profound impact our contributions can make. Fundraising is not just a means to an end; it’s a catalyst for change. The true end goal is not meeting a fundraising target, but the transformative effects those funds can have on lives. From providing food and shelter to counseling and support, our donations can make a world of difference.

When someone calls on you to give to our United Way Campaign, please help us help others by providing a generous gift! Your gift will help us change our world, one person at a time!
